Welcome to the Vexin Normand in Normandy.
Here, exploring historical and cultural heritage sites will tell you the story of Normandy, of the Kingdom of France as well as the kingdom of England. Forests, bodies of water, the green valleys of the rivers Epte, Troësne and Lévrière will delight outdoor lovers thanks to numerous trails for hiking, horse riding, walking, cycling, etc. Fishing, canoeing and golf enthusiasts will not be left out. Numerous activities are available, especially for children at the educational farms and leisure parks. Created in 2012 for the Olympic Games, the London-Paris Avenue Verte, a 520 km-long cycle route that connects the two European capitals, runs through this area, which is ideal to go cycling. The Gisors - Gasny Greenway (28 km) constitutes a section that winds towards Giverny and the Seine Valley via the bucolic Epte valley.
The area, located at the crossroads of three regions, Normandy, where it belongs, Hauts de France and Ile-de-France, benefits from the influence and resources of each of them. A stop along the "Route de la mer", the "Route des Plantagenêts" and the "Normandie Vexin Heritage Trail", the Vexin Normand is the ideal starting point for many other walks and outings.
The team of the Tourist Information Centre located in Gisors offers a personalised welcome and will be happy to help you. It provides information, trail maps, gifts, local products, crafts, toys, free Wi-Fi access and tablets.
